The Globe Soccer award ceremony took place today, Monday December 27 in Dubai and it was graced by array of stars.
France and Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe took home the premium prize which was the Men’s player of the year while Bayern and Poland striker Robert Lewandowski won the Fan’s Player of the year alongside the Maradona award as this year’s topscorer.
Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo was also recognized with the Top Scorer of all time award after reaching a milestone of 800 career goals although agent Jorge Mendes received the award on his behalf as the former Real Madrid man is expected to be United’s squad against Newcastle tonight.
Manchester City’s sporting director Txiki Begiristain was awarded the Sporting Director of the year while the Best Agent of the Year went to Federico Pastorello, the agent who secured Romelu Lukaku for Inter and later arranged his transfer to Chelsea, also the Italian has been involved in the careers of many of the top players in Italy’s Seria A, as well as elsewhere in Europe.
Best National Team of the Year award was given to the Azzuris of Italy who after failing to make the 2018 World Cup, came back strong with a young and ambitious team and were led by Robert Mancini to decisively win Euro 2020.
Best Football Club of the year went to Champions League winners Chelsea FC while the female category was awarded to FC Barcelona women

Speaking after winning the award, Kylian Mbappe said his focus is to “continue winning titles” for both club and country:
“I’m a lucky guy. I play for a great team and a great national team. I want to keep winning, because otherwise someone will take your place. I want to continue winning titles for my national team and my club.”
Also former Dortmund hitman Lewandowski revelled in his good performances and hoped he enjoys more of it while it lasts:
“At my age I think I can play at the highest level for a couple more years. The mentality I have is to keep having good years for as long as possible.”
Finally, Brazilian legend Ronaldinho won the Globe Soccer Player Career Award.
