Italian giants, Inter Milan, have enquired about Everton’s French left-back Lucas Digne about the possibility of capturing his signature.

Inter have made touch with Everton for Digne, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, who is not in Rafael Benitez’s plans.

Digne’s agents have been working hard to find him a new club, and Inter have been told that a loan move could work out.

However, during the communication between the clubs, Inter was unable to obtain an assurance from Everton that a temporary deal would be possible.

Everton wants to include a buy-back clause in the deal, but Inter is against it. Inter would be willing to do a loan with a purchase option, and they would clear out their roster to make place for a permanent signing later.

Digne began his career at Lille before joining Paris Saint-Germain in 2013. After spending a season on loan at Roma, he moved to Barcelona in July 2016.

The 28-year-old joined the Merseyside team from FC Barcelona in 2018 and has made 110 appearances so far for Everton Football Club.
