Egyptian side ZED FC has come to an initial agreement with Premier League club Aston Villa for affiliations purpose.

The side is owned Naguib Sawiris and Onsi Sawiris his son while nephew Nassef Sawiris is the co-owner of Aston Villa.

It was confirmed today (Wednesday) that both clubs are set to link up. A move Nassef Sawiris has talked up stating that the young talent’s at ZED will be heading to England and will reap the benefits of Villa’s football expertise.

We’re following the Egyptian state’s plan to take care of young people and support them to reach their highest potential

We have reached an initial agreement with Aston Villa and we will send the number of young players to spend sometime there to learn about the European system”

ZED FC were recently crowned the best youth a academy in Africa at the recently conducted 2021 Globe Soccer Awards.

The club was previously known as FC Masr and they play in the Egyptian Second Division although they were promoted to Egyptian first division two seasons ago but they got releegated.
