The hierarchy of the Super Eagles has welcomed a new member with Moses Simon becoming one of the captains.

Coach Austin Eguavoen made nine changes to the team that started the game against the Elite One champions with a total of nine players coming on in the second half.
It is however believed that Cerezo sees him as an option for captaincy in the absence of Ahmed Musa and William Troost-Ekong.
Moses has been part of the Eagles set up since 2015 and is one of the most experienced member in the team.
The Super Eagles start their campaign against Egypt on the 11th of January,2022.
