The head coach of Nigeria’s Afcon Group D opponents Sudan has acknowledged the threat posed by the Super Eagles of Nigeria ahead of their group stage clash on Saturday.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria will clash with the Falcons of Jediane in the second round of games in Group D on Saturday.
Having the game in mind, Burhan Tia, Sudan’s gaffer said the game is a game they have set their minds on even before the start of the tournament.
“It will not be easy, as well as facing Egypt, but these are matches that we have put in our minds and our program before the tournament,” he said.
Sudan played a 0-0 draw with Guinea-Bissau in their first game of the competition while Nigeria were 1-0 winners against Egypt.
The Sudanese need to win against Nigeria to stand a chance of qualifying for the knockout stages.
Nigeria are top of Group D with three points, while Sudan and Guinea-Bissau have one point each. Egypt are bottom of the table with with zero point.
