Super Eagles versatile defender Chidozie Awaziem has returned to training ahead of their final group D clash against Guinea-Bissau.
The Alayanspor man has just shaken off an hamstring injury which had kept him out for three weeks before Eagles opened camping last year also saw him miss the first two games of the competition.
Awaziem missed out on wins against Egypt [1-0] and Sudan [3-1].
Speaking about his return, Awaziem told journalists he was happy and he is ready to go for the Eagles.
“I feel happy. I am back and very good now. I had a little knock and had been recovering with the physios, but right now, I am back,” he said.
The former Leganes who man is set to make his first appearance at Afcon’21 against Guinea-Bissau played a key role as a make-shit Right-back in the Nigerian side that finished third in Afcon 2019 in Egypt.
Nigeria who have booked a spot in the knockouts will still be at the Stade Roumdé Adija, Garoua in Cameroon when they take on the Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau in the final group stage game on Wednesday night.
Guinea-Bissau are in search of a win against Nigeria to stand a chance of being considered for a best-loser ticket if Egypt avoid defeat against Sudan.
