Liverpool have advanced into the finals of the Carabao Cup this season following a 2-0 victory over Arsenal on Thursday night at the Emirates.

Two goals from Diogo Jota who now has 27 goals in 57 games drove Jurgen Klopp’s men all the way.

Liverpool started the game on a back foot as Arsenal drew the first blood and were soon asking questions as Alexandre Lacazette effort from 19 yards was saved by Caoimhin Kelleher’s fingertips assisted by the crossbar.

Liverpool dominated the major part of the game and missed a flurry of chances.

Liverpool finally doubled their last towards the closing stages of the encounter as Diogo Jota played in thin by Arsenal last man got Arnold’s pass way behind Arsenal defenseline. He then lobed it over the incoming Ramsdale.
