It’s a flurry of goals in the Nigerian professional football league (NPFL) as it progresses onto Matchday Seven. A total of 15 goals were scored across Six match centres.

Plateau United continued their goal-scoring frenzy from their previous match in which they breezed past Dakkada FC scoring five goals. They went on to trash Nasarawa Utd on home soil winning 3-2. Goals from Haggai Katoh, Jesse Akila and Muhammad Zulkifilu ensured Plateau United went hone with three points.

After a Stalemate in the South West Derby against 3SC in Matchday Six, Sunshine Stars came out all guns blazing against Gombe United, winning by two goals to nil at home, Early goals from Promise Orji and Bello Babatude in both halves respectively gave Sunshine stars the Victory. The latter scoring a direct free-kick.

The Olukoya boys’ form keeps waning as they lost once again, this time at home to Rivers United 3-1. MFM now sit at the foot of the table with just Six points from Six matches.

Niger Tornadoes on the back of a defeat to Kano pillars bounced back against under-performing Shooting stars of Ibadan, winning by two goals to nil. 3SC coach Edith Olumide Agoye has lost his first game in a three-game ultimatum given by the Oyo State Sports Ministry.

Dakkada FC also dropped points at home, losing back-to-back. They suffered defeat in the hands of Wikki Tourists.
