The Nigeria Womens Football League [NWFL] entered it’s week five as seven goals were scored across six different centres in the country.

The best view was found at the Lafia City Stadium, Lafia where Nasarawa Amazons smashed Adamawa Queens with four unreplied first-half goals.

Adamawa Queens came into the game having recorded an impressive win over high-flying Confluence Queens but were trashed in Lafia.

Loveth Edeh opened scoring as early as the third minute before Tarnum Dooshima doubled it with twenty two minutes from Kick-off.

Aweda Titilayo hit the third a minute past the half-hour mark before Dooshima completed her brace at the stroke of halftime.

Sunshine Queens fell to Royal Queens 2-0 no thanks to first-half strikes from Ayomide Arowokeye and Oluwatosin Ogundeko.

Pelican Stars’ wait for their first league win of the season continued as they lost at home to Edo Edo Queens whose lone strike came from Abideen Suliat in the 66th minute of action.

Bayelsa Queens failed to close the gap between them and Rivers Angels as they laboured to a goalless draw away at Umuahia Township Stadium, Aba against Abia Angels.

The biggest game of the week took place at the Illorin Township Stadium where Confluence Queens battled newly promoted but extraordinary Naija Ratels side but the game ended scoreless.

It was an Irony as both sides were led upfront by the two topscorers of the NWFL so far in Mercy Omokwu and Olamide Adugbe.

Osun Babes and Rivers Angels were on a bye.
