Newcastle United, a Premier League club, has expressed interest in the Super Eagles striker.

Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing Napoli attacker Victor Osimhen, according to Gazzetta Dello Sport.

Victor is also a target for Arsenal, after they missed out on Dusan Vlahovic, who has agreed a deal with Juventus.

According to the publication, there are’sirens’ from the Premier League, with agents and intermediaries already working on potential deals for him.

Newcastle, who failed to sign Dusan Vlahovic from Fiorentina, are said to be looking for a centre-forward and are now ‘looking’ at the Nigerian.

Victor Osimhen joined the Gli Azzuri from Lille OSC for $96 million (81.3 million euros), becoming him the most expensive African player in history.

Gazzetta is still unsure how Napoli will react to a potential summer sale, but they do know that club president Aurelio De Laurentiis will ‘not make discounts’ and should only consider offers beyond €70 million.

Those figures are said to be ‘not unattainable,’ especially given his impressive start to the season, with nine goals and two assists in 16 outings.

Now we’re waiting to see if Newcastle or the Gunners will pay that much.
