Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers netted a haul as his dutch side Feyenoord walloped Vitesse 6-2 in a friendly game.

Dessers was on target as he doubled Feyenoord’s lead shooting from close range a ball product of Kökcü defense-splitting pass.

Although Vitesse restored parity netting twice in the space of two minutes but the Belgium born Nigerian international restored his team’s lead netting their third of the game and his second.

The former Genk striker completed his hat trick scoring from an interception from Toornsta in the 51st minute before netting his fourth five minutes later when he tapped home a rebound off the shot by Kökcü.

Dessers was one of the players touted to replace Emmanuel Dennis who wasn’t granted a free pass to play for the Eagles en route the African Nations Cup in Cameroon but he wasn’t able to receive a call up due to the Caf rules that Nigeria who had changed their gaffer around the time could not call on a player outside the provisional squad.

The Belgian dual-national who has not been invited to the national team ever since, having fallen behind the pecking order to former teammate at club level Paul Onuachu has netted 10 goals and registered three assists in 29 games clocking 909 minutes in all competitions this campaign.

Up next for Feyenoord is a game at home at De Kuip against fellow townsmen Sparta Rotterdam.
