Mauricio Pochettino, speaking to Spanish radio station Cadena Ser – reported in L’Équipe – discussed the future of Kylian Mbappé, who has been linked with a transfer to Real Madrid due to his contract expiring.

While the attacker has maintained that no decision would be made until the Champions League double header between the two clubs begins next week, his desire to join the La Liga side last summer has ensured that he has been the center of attention.

“I don’t think that such an important decision as whether Mbappé will stay will depend on these two matches. He’s a smart and mature guy, who’s gifted with a great capacity to analyse, and always aware of what he wants for his career and his future. I see him as calm, ready to do as well as possible for PSG as he’s said.”

“He’s a guy with incredible empathy and charisma. The language has helped as he speaks perfect English and Spanish and that makes for a lot of proximity. […] Let’s hope he spends his whole career at PSG.”

Mbappe, on the other hand, is eager to leave Paris Saint-Germain and join Real Madrid at the end of the season.

However, according to reports, the Frenchman (Mbappe) has orally accepted to join the 13-time UEFA Champions League champions.
