Super Eagles and Venezia defender,Tyronne Ebuehi, is set to be out of action for a long time after picking up an injury in Venezia’s 1-1 tie with Genoa over the weekend.
Ebuehi returned to the squad and replaced Domen rnigoj at halftime at the Stadio Pierluigi Penzo in Venezia after serving his one match suspension.
However, the 26-year-old only lasted thirty minutes before being asked to come off due to a knock to his left leg.
The Benfica loanee has lesion in his left semitendinosus muscle, according to the results of the scan performed on him.
Reports in the Italian press have it that the fullback could be absent for a lot of weeks, possibly until the end of the international break.
Tyronne may equally miss Nigeria’s crucial two-legged FIFA World Cup playoffs against Ghana’s Black Stars on March 25th and 29th.
