Arsenal midfielder, Thomas Partey said he and his teammates are very happy for the former Arsenal captain’s recent form with Barcelona.
The Gabonese four-year spell at the Emirates Stadium ended on a sour note after being rushed out the door by Arteta in the late stages of the January transfer window.
He was stripped of Arsenal’s captain band and frozen out of the first team following a disciplinary breach, with his attitude and mentality questioned by the manager.
The 32-year-old who was Arsenal’s highest-paid player joined Barcelona on a free transfer last month, February.
He has since scored five goals in six appearances for the Catalan club.
“Yeah I watch most of the games of Barcelona now and when I was in Atletico Madrid. Thomas Partey said to Skysports.
“I am very happy for (him) Aubameyang, We know he his a great person and a good player, he can score and I feel happy for him in Barcelona because he’s doing a great job there.
“I think he will also be watching us and he will be happy for us (Arsenal). And we are also happy for him,” the Ghanaian concluded.
Aubameyang took to his Twitter to reply an Arsenal fan, Piers Morgan, who said he misses him.
