Egypt national team general manager, Diaa El-Sayed says the Egyptian captain, Mo Salah is fit and ready to face the current African Champions, Senegal.
Egypt and Senegal will faceoff on March 25 and 29th with a place at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar on the line.
The game will also be a repeat of the 2021 AFCON final, where the Teranga Lions beat the Pharaohs on penalties by 4-2 after 120 minutes of cagey football.
Speaking ahead of the game, El-Sayed disclosed the players’ aspirations going into the games and Salah’s availability.
Mohamed Salah sustained a minor injury while with the Reds, which forced him to play just the second-half against Arsenal.
“Mohamed Salah is fit and ready for the clash, I want to assure the fans that we are all fully focused for the match. Our players are confident and know that the Egyptians want to qualify for the World Cup,” he said.
“Our goal is to satisfy the fans and god willing beat Senegal, and we promise we will play with a fighting spirit.
“We thank the officials for allowing fans to attend the game, the players are happy with that and hopefully we won’t disappoint them,” he added.
