Feyenoord forward, Cyriel Dessers is hoping the Dutch club side, Feyenoord will play well against French side, Marseille in the Europa Conference League semifinal and score goals.
The Super Eagles forward will be travelling to Marseille with his club for the first leg of the semifinal, a city he spent his vacations as a child.
“Marseille are a big team. I used to go there on holidays with my parents and visited the stadium.” He said after the win against Slavia Prague in the Quarterfinals.
“We always go to the stadium back then. It’s quite special that I’m going to play there now. That was a dream then and now that dream is coming true.
“I don’t go there for the sightseeing. I also want to do something there, experience a beautiful European evening. At the time, I was impressed by Stade Vélodrome. I still am, but I want to show you something.
“Now I am going to see it within inside and hopefully we can play well there and I can score – that would be very nice experience.” He concluded.
The 27-year-old striker has found the back of the net eight times in the ongoing Europa Conference League campaign.
