Barcelona head coach, Xavi Hernandez says he his not happy with his team’s performance yesterday at the Camp Nou against relegation threatened side, Cadiz.

Barcelona who are in a four-team race to get into the Champions League places with Betis, Sevilla and Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid, lost to the pirates at the Camp Nou yesterday.

The Catalan side have failed to beat Cádiz in their past four La Liga meetings, with their most recent win against Cadiz happening in 2006.

“We are very angry. The players are the first to be angry and disappointed. We lost a golden chance to give ourselves a difference from the rest of the teams wanting a Champions League place and we are practically saying goodbye to the league.

“I am personally angry and disappointed. We had to play with much more desire. This is not enough. We have to do more. We have to do in the defense and in attack.” Xavi said after the defeat at the press conference.

The 42-year-old gaffer believes Barcelona have improved since he took over in November and says they are not in a bad situation despite suffering a hamulating loss at the Camp Nou and being knocked out of the Europa League by Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday.

“We’re not in a bad situation. Things have improved since we took over in November, but we have to keep improving.

“We have to look ourselves in the eye and have more desire because we cannot lose at home to Cadiz. This is Barca and we have to do more. We have improved, but we wanted to do more and fight for trophies.” He concluded.
