Paris Saint Germain coach, Mauricio Pochettino has enphasise on how important wining the Ligue 1 meant to the French capital club.

The Parisian club are in the verge of wining the Ligue 1 for the 10th time, should they win against Lens at the Parc des Princes this weekend.

Speaking after PSG’s 3-0 win against Angers on Wednesday at the Stade Raymond Kopa stadium, the former Tottenham boss, Mauricio Pochettino said: “Yes, the elimination from the Champions League is always a disappointment, the club is chasing after it. But we have to recognise the value of all the competitions the club plays in.

“The league is played throughout the year, it requires consistency. Whatever the country, in France, in Italy, in England, it’s very hard to win. Now, we also have to find our fans at the stadium again, all while respecting their means of self-expression but also while respecting the club.” He said.

The 50-year-old gaffer challenged his players to grab their chance to win the title and make Ligue 1 history for the club when they face Angers.

Paris Saint Germain have won 24 of their 33 games this season. They boast the division’s best attack with 75 goals and have the league’s second stingiest defence behind Nice with 30 goals conceded.
