According to various reports, Arsenal are in advanced talks to sign Manchester City forward, Gabriel Jesus.
The 25-years-old forward hasn’t been getting enough play time under Pep Guardiola, and is set to reunite with Mikel Arteta. They both worked together when the London based team boss was assistant manager under Guardiola.
Jesus reacting back in 2019 when Arteta left Manchester City to take over at Arsenal, described the 40-year-old coach as a fantastic manager.
“He’s helped a lot of players. When I want to do finishing after training, I tell him and he comes and helps me.
“So he is really fantastic for us. All the players know that, everyone knows that in the club. He is a fantastic guy and fantastic manager. I don’t honestly know what he thinks about his career, that is for him. I hope he can find his way and I hope he can be happy.” He said.
Jesus is fighting to make Brazil’s squad for the World Cup, he described it as a ‘dream’ of his. He has made 23 Premier League appearances this season, scoring three and assisting eight.
The former Palmeiras forward’s contract runs until 2023, Jesus currently earns around €4m a year at the Etihad, but would get around €6m from Arsenal should a transfer take place.
