AC Milan have approached Manchester City forward, Riyad Mahrez according to various sources from France.
The Rossoneri secured their spot in the Serie A on Sunday. A Sandro Tonali stoppage-time strike was enough to give them a 2-1 win away to Lazio, which guaranteed a top four finish.
According to Footmercato, Milan have set their sights on Mahrez to reinforce the attacking front and bring valuable experience to the side.
The 31-year-old forward can play in a variety of forward roles, most notably the right wing, where the Rossoneri are short n alternatives.
Mahrez has netted 23 goals and eight assists in 42 competitive matches for Manchester City this season, and his contract is due to expire in June 2023.
Milan face competition from Real Madrid, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain. PSG sees him as a potential replacement for Ángel Di María, who is set to leave when his contract expires at the end of the season.
Mahrez was spotted in Sarcelles, a suburb of Paris last week. Over 1,500 came to welcome the Algerian international that started his youth football in Sarcelles.
Valued €40 million as per Transfermarkt.com, AC Milan, Paris Saint Germain, Barcelona and Real Madrid will be looking at the direction of the 2015 African best player of the year.
