Real Madrid coach, Carlo Ancelotti becomes the first coach to win league in all five of Europe’s major leagues as Madrid beat Espanyol to win La Liga.
Ancelotti made eight changes from the side that started the Champions League semifinal first leg against City.
Los Blancos only needed a draw to guarantee glory once more. A brace first half brace from Rodrygo, and second half goals from Asensio and Benzema was enough to secure Los Blancos their 35th La Liga title at home in a grand style.
Ancelotti’s first league title as a manager was with AC Milan in 2004, the club where he won the league twice as a player in the 1980s.
The Premier League with Chelsea followed in 2010, before Ancelotti lifted Ligue 1 with Paris St-Germain in 2013 and the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich in 2017.
Marcelo also becomes the most decorated Real Madrid player of all-time with 24 titles.
