Manchester United are reportedly interested n sigining Barcelona’s forward, Ousmane Dembele.
The French forward is out of contract in the summer and United will be hoping to snap up the forward for free.
Dembele became the second most expensive player in history behind Neymar, when he joined Barcelona from Borussia Dortmund for an initial €105m (£97m), plus a potential €42m (£38m) in add-ons on a five year contract.
The World Cup winner has struggled with injuries and inconsistency during his time at Camp Nou.
Xavi’s reign in Camp nou has resurrect the 24-year-old forward, developing into an assist machine under the former Al Sadd coach and averaging a direct goal contribution on a more regular basis.
“He’s been a good professional, his behaviour is irreproachable: I have no complaints,” Xavi said last month.
“I’m pleased for him because it hasn’t been an easy situation, but I always said he could be the best in the world in his position. As a club I think we were intelligent and we have to make the most of him because he is a talent.”
With Rashford’s poor run of five goals in all competitions this season, Manchester United are looking towards reinforcement and brining in Ousmane Dembele could be the difference.
Manchester United have reportedly offered him a deal worth around €10-15M per year.
