The world football governing FIFA, have slammed a transfer ban on Nigerian National League side, Vandrezzer FC.
Vandrezzer was said to have breached the contract of its former head coach Rafael Everton.
FIFA has now ordered Vandrezzer FC to pay Everton #7,000,000 (seven million naira) in compensation plus 5% interest from June 23, 2021 to the date of payment, according to a letter provided by FIFA.
Rafael left Vandrezzer FC in February 2021 after he submitted his resignation letter to the club.
The club will not be able to register any player until the compensation is paid to the Brazilian coach.
Vandrezzer Fc’s inability to register players may have a massive effect on the team’s push for promotion to the NPFL.
