Paris FC goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie has been nominated for the UNFP trophy of the best goalkeeper award in the D1 Arkema league.
The Nigerian international who is having a good outing with her French capital-based team was named alongside the likes of Bordeaux goalkeeper, Mylene Chavas, Olympique Lyon Christiane Endler, GPSO 92 ISSY Cosette Morche and Paris Saint- Germain Barbora Votikova.
The Nigerian international performance on the pitch for PFC helped guide them to the top three of the D1 Arkema table, as well as securing a place in next season’s Champions League knockout stages.
So far this season, Chiamaka who joined Paris FC from Rivers United has made 20 appearances in all competitions in between the sticks for her employers.
Paris FC are currently on 44 points after 19 league games in the 12-team league, ten points above the next team, Fleury 91 Femininés.
Chiamaka, 21, became the youngest goalkeeper to keep a clean sheet at the FIFA Women’s World Cup. A feat she achieved against Korea at the World Cup in France in 2029, aged 18 and 186 days. Super Falcons won the game by 2-0.
This year will be the 30th edition of the UNFP trophies, it is slated for the 15th of May 2022 by 7pm.
