Tottenham coach, Antonio Conte says his team needs to take the maximum three points against Arsenal in their Thursday Premier League game.

With the fourth position up for grabs, fourth placed Arsenal will be hoping to secure the maximum three points against Tottenham, with the knowledge that if they win on Thursday then they are guaranteed Champions League qualification.

While Mikel Arteta might consider his side favourites ahead of Antonio Conte’s, Conte knows his men must win the derby in order to put the pressure on Arsenal for the final two matches.

“We are talking about an important game. Conte said at the presser. “Important for many different situations. First we are playing this game for an important target. For a place in the Champions League. This is first, to try to win this game.

“I also know the importance for our fans of this derby, the north London derby. This is the first time they’re playing this derby in their stadium with all the fans.

“We have to try to get three points against Arsenal. We are talking about a good team, a really well organised team. Arteta is doing a really good job. He’s had the possibility to work and improve his team.

“In this moment of the season it has to give us a big push.

Tottenham will take pride from their performance and result in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Liverpool.

Arsenal’s win against Leeds over the weekend was their fourth victory in a row, with two of it coming against Chelsea and Manchester United.
