Chelsea forward, Callum Hudson-Odoi is reportedly set to feature at the 2022 FIFA World Cup for Ghana.
Born in Wandsworth, UK to Ghanaian parents, the 21-year-old has been capped three times by England’s first team.
His appearances for the Three- Lions came before his 21st birthday, meaning he his still eligible to represent England and Ghana under FIFA’s eligibility rules.
According to footballlondon, Odoi is now ready to switch his international allegiances to Ghana from England.
Hudson – Odoi’s decision may well have been influenced by Ghana qualifying for the Qatar World Cup, which begins later this year in November.
According to Starr FM, Callum Hudson-Odoi also met with Black Stars’ coach Chris Hughton and was convinced by the ex-Brighton and Hove Albion to play for Ghana.
Ghana booked their World Cup ticket by beating Nigeria on the away goals rule in a two-legged playoff in March.
The four-times African champions were drawn alongside Portugal, Argentina and South Korea in the Group H of the World Cup.
