Manchester United forward, Cristiano Ronaldo Premier has been named League Player of the Month for April 2022.

The 37-year-old Portuguese scored five goals in as many games in April, one against Chelsea and Arsenal, and a hat-trick against Norwich.

With just two games remaining this season, the five – times Ballon d’Or winner will be hoping to hit the 20-goal mark in the Premier League this season, and considering his dazzling form of late, the Golden Boot is not out of reach.

Ronaldo currently stands four goals behind Mohamed Salah in the standings but amid the Egyptian’s struggles for form, Ronaldo will fancy securing that accolade for the second time in his career.

He has now won Premier League player of the month for the sixth time, now the most of any Manchester United player in the competition, overtaking Wayne Rooney’s five.
