Vinicius Jr scored his career hatrick as Real Madrid cruised to a 6-0 victory against Levante at the Santiago Bernabeu on Thursday.

The La Liga champions who clinched their 35th Spanish title at the end of April with four games to spare showed class against Levante who have now been officially relegated.

Ferland Mendy opened the floodgates in the 13th minutes when he burst forward to slot the ball home. Six minutes later, Benzema nods in a perfect cross from Vinicius to match Raul’s 323 goals, with only Cristiano Ronaldo (450) scoring more for the club.

Rodrygo and Vinicius added the third and fourth to make it 4-0 before half time for the hosts.

Benzema went on to assit Vinicius for his second goal of the night after connecting with a brillant pass from Luca Modric, who had three assists on the night.

With seven minutes of regular time left to play, Vinicius netted his third goal of the night, making it his 21 goal in all competitions this season.

“The coach asked me if I wanted to stay on, and I did for the chance to get a hat-trick,” said Vinicius Júnior.

“It’s my first hat-trick and the team-mates have helped me so much and I’m just very, very happy.”
