With the season coming to an end, we take a look at all the battles to be won on the final day in Europe top 5 leagues excluding the already concluded Bundesliga.
There are leagues left to be won, relegation spots to be sealed and European competitions places to be secured.
Battle for the League Title
Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City side must defeat Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa to secure their Premier league trophy on Sunday. Liverpool will be facing Wolves and will be looking to capitalize on any drop in point by the Cityzens in their quest for the quadruple.
Real Madrid 4-0 win over Espanyol secured their 35th Laliga title on April 30.
With the Seria A title already in Milan, Simeone Inzaghi side will face Sampdoria an the defending champions will be hoping AC Milan lose in their final game against Sassuolo.
Lionel Messi’s goal in the 1-1 draw with Lens on April 23 ensured PSG were Ligue 1 champions again.
Battle for Champions League spot
Totteenham only need 1 point from already regulated Norwich side to clinch the last Champions League spot. Arsenal will be hoping for a miracle at the Carrow Road while they face newly escaped relegation battlers, Everton.
Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea have already secured their Champions League spot
Sevilla and Atlético Madrid joined Barcelona and Real Madrid as the other Spanish teams in the Champions League when they drew their matches last week.
Similar to Spain, the Champions League spots have been finalized with Napoli and Juventus joining the two Milan clubs.
However in France, a draw would be enough for second-placed Monaco and third-placed Marseille (both 68 points) to secure their UCL spot but must be on the lookout of Rennes (65 points) winning should they lose.
Battle for other European Tickets
Manchester United must beat Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park if they are to wind off threat from Westham United in a fight for Europa League spot. The team with the lowerpoint at the end will play in the Europaean Conference league.
Real Betis and Real Sociedad will both play in the Europa League. However, Europa Conference League spot is still to be decided with Villarreal (56 points) travelling to Barcelona and Athletic Club (55 points) going to Sevilla.
Lazio have already secured their fifth place in the bag but the final spot is up for one of Roma, Florentina and Atalanta to bag. Roma (60 points) must win at Torino to secure their position with Florentina and Atalanta (both 59 points) looking to capitalize on any Roma misfortune.
Rennes will have to get a point at Lille to secure their Europa League spot. The Conference League Spot will be battled by Strasbourg, Nice (63 points) and Lens (61 points).
Relegation Battle
Everton comeback win against Crystal Palace means they are safe from the relegation waters. However, Burnley and Leeds will have to battle it out.
Burnley host Newcastle and Leeds travel to Brentford for the final day clash with both teams on 35 points.
In Spain, Granada at 37 points will be on the look out Mallorca and Cadiz both 36 points as one of them is bound to relegate.
Mallorca has a better head to head but Cadiz will be hoping to unleash the devil on already relegated Alavez and hope Mallorca drop points at Osasuna.
Salernitana (31 points) will be hoping to continue their decent form to fight Cagliari (29 points) into staying up in the Seria A.
Metz, Bordeaux and Saint-Étienne are already doomed for relegation in Ligue 1.
