The lastest winner of the Scudetto, AC Milan and Europa League bound Arsenal have joined Manchester United and Newcastle in the race for the 23-year-old Nigeria striker.

AC Milan are looking to replace veteran striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic with the Napoli goal merchant. The Rossoneri’s will have to fend off competition from three English sides in the race for Osimhen’s signature.

The Super Eagles striker won the best Under 23 Player in the just concluded Seria A campaign scoring 14 goals in 27 appearances. The Lagos brought up forward is a force in the air and popularly called “AIRsimhen” for his aerial prowess. He scored 7 of his 14 goals with his head.

AC Milan are reported to be interested him because of his aerial presence, lightning speed, strength and goal poaching abilities.

“The Rossoneri have entered the race for the number nine of Napoli, identified as a great reinforcement for next season,” an Italian publication, AreaNapoli, wrote.

“Milan, freshly won the Scudetto, are thinking of Victor Osimhen for next season. The director Paolo Maldini has targeted the number nine of Napoli.”

The Gunners also want to replace their former captain, Aubamayeang, with the Napoli striker.

However, some factions in Italy believes the young striker will remain at Diego Amando Maradona Stadium next season to fight for the title as he takes up more responsibilities due to Lorenzo Insigne depature.
