Chiamaka Nnadozie , 21, has been awarded the Bruno Martini Award for Goalkeeping Revelation of the Season in French women’s football.
The former Rivers Angel goalkeeper has helped her team Paris FC secure a UEFA Women Champions League spot by finishing the season in the 3rd position of just concluded French Division 1 Feminine 2021/22 season.
The Super Falcons goalkeeper joined the French team in 2020 and made vital contribution to team keeping 13 clean sheets in 19 games.
Chiamaka is part of the Super Falcons invited for camping ahead of the Women African Cup of Nations.
The brilliant Nigerian goalkeeper expressed her gratitude on receiving the award on her Twitter page.
Nnadozie, 22, posted “I want to use this opportunity to say a big thank you to the AEGB Football Association France, for this great award. A special thanks to Paris FV, you guys made it possible.”
Nnadozie edged Stade de Reims goalkeeper Emily Alvarado and Issy GPS goalkeeper, Colette Morche to clinch the prestigious award.
The award is voted for by all goalkeepers, professional football goalkeeper coaches, and members of the goalkeeper coaches’ association.
