Super Eagles defender, Shehu Abdullahi held a meeting with Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambual to discuss cogent issues with him.

Shehu Abdullahi, 29 recently arrived in Nigeria after a successful season with Omonia in Cyprus.

In the light of recent chaotic events in Sokoto state, Shehu Abdullahi reveals the details of their discussion on his official Instagram page.

The Sokoto-born defender said he was very happy to be home after a long season,

“It feels great to return home (Sokoto) after a long season. Good to see my friends and family with smiles on their faces.

“Together, we can build a community that will attract a positive image. I am honoured to share such a beautiful moment with everyone.”

On the details of the meeting with Aminu Tambual, he wrote that:

“I met with His Excellency, Aminu Tambuwal to discuss important issues concerning our dear state, Sokoto.

“The growth of the State economically, the safety of citizens, and creating an enabling environment for sports and other businesses in the state.

“The discussion was fruitful and I am optimistic, we can build a greater Sokoto State together.”

The Super Eagles defender travelled to Abuja to join the rest if the Super Eagles in camp ahead of AFCON Qualifiers against Sierria Leone and São Tomé and Principe on June 9 and 13 respectively.
