Barcelona winger, Ousmane Dembele has accepted the contract proposal submitted by Chelsea, according to French outlet Le10 Sport.

The former Borussia Dortmund talisman who joined Barcelona for a deal worth up to £126million in 2017, is all set to reunite with his former Borussia Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel at Stamford Bridge in the upcoming season.

His five-year stint with Barcelona has been full of ups and downs. Continuous injury problem and fitness problems hampered his development.

The 25-year-old World Cup winner scored 32 goals in 150 appearances for the Catalan club side. Winning two La Liga titles and two Copa del Reys.

Dembele is in line to become a free agent when his contract at Camp Nou expires at the end of this month. His camp have been in negotiations over a new deal with Barcelona for a good part of the last nine months or so, without really showing an indication that they wished to accept the Catalans’ proposal.

The former Rennes winger is known for his tricky feet and would be expected to fill the void of Eden Hazard.

“What is your preferred foot?” an interviewer asks. “Hmmm,” Ousmane Dembele, then at Rennes, was deep in thought. “Left-footed,” he then replied.

“Are you sure? Because you also score with your right foot,” the interviewer then intervenes. “Yeah, I’m more left-footed,” Dembele responds. “Don’t you shoot penalties with your right foot?” the reporter then asks. “Yeah, because I shoot better with my right,” Dembele concludes.
