Nigeria U17 female team have been drawn in the same group with Germany, Chile and New Zealand ahead of the U17 Women World Cup in October.

Flamingoes will travel to the World Cup with head coach, Bankole Olowookere leading the team after the Flamingoes failed to qualify for the last edition of the tournament.

The goalless draw in Nigeria against Ethopia earlier this month secured their qualification to the U17 Women’s world Cup in Ethiopia and ensured the ladies will have tge opportunity to fight for the title.

Though, the Flamingoes highest ever finish in the U17 World Cup is Quater Final (2010, 2012, 2014) they have won the U17 Women’s AFCON five times (2008, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2016).

The U17 Women’s World Cup will take place in India this year from October 11 to October 30.
