Barcelona Femeni striker, Asisat Oshoala on Thursday announced her partnership with Nike football and Women Win to launch football academy for Nigerian young girls.

The Super Falcons strikers said she remans committed to improving the education and sporting literacy of Nigerian girls in a fight for a better world.

Oshoala started what will be an awesome career in Mushin-based club Robo stars before going to the 2014 Under 20 World Cup where she won the Player of the Tournament.

Since then, she has rose to stardom playing for Rivers Angels, Liverpool, Arsenal and Dalian Quanjian before securing a move to Barcelona in 2019 where she became the first African woman to win the UEFA Champions League.

The 27-year-old holds the record for the most Women African Player of the Year, winning it a record four times and has shown interest in empowering young girls, especially footballers through her foundation and competitions.

Asisat Oshoala announced the launch of the academy on her Twitter page on June 30.

The 2015 BBC Female Footballer of the Year has also been organizing ‘Football4girls’ yearly to help bring to stardom young female footballers in Nigeria.

The Nigerian football queen is currently in Morocco with the Super Falcons to defend their Women African Cup of Nations and win it a record ten times.
