Ex-Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr (69) believes Napoli forward, Victor Osimhen will be a perfect replacement for Robert Lewandowski stating that he has attributes to excel with the German giants.

In a interview with Sport Bild, Rohr commented on the possibility of Victor Osimhen joining the Munich based club if Robert Lewandowski leaves the club.

“If Bayern let Robert Lewandowski go, Victor would be a good alternative. I think he would prevail in Munich. Since he already has experience in the Bundesliga and speaks a little German, his adjustment period is of course shorter than with other players from abroad,” Rohr told Sport Bild.

Rohr also acknowledged the youngster’s ability, telling Sport Bild “Victor is also a fighter on the pitch, has great moral and physical qualities. Technically he has improved a lot, recently in Lille and Napoli he showed how dangerous he is in front of goal.”

On Osimhen being a World Class

“If he develops further, he can become one [World Class]. Victor still needs to improve a few things, like working on his body language. If something doesn’t work, he shows it too much on the pitch. But these are small things, he can handle them”

Victor Osimhen scored 14 Seria A goals in 27 matches after being disturbed by injury in the last campaign.

The 23-year-old is being heavily linked to Bayern Munich as a replacement for Robert Lewandowski if he leaves for Barcelona.
