Super Eagles defender, Valentine Ozornwafor is set to join French side, FC Sochaux-Montbéliard from Charleroi on a loan deal, OJBSPORT can exclusively confirm.

The 23-year-old defender who arrived at Charleroi last summer on loan from Galatasaray will join Les Lionceaux on a a year-long loan with an option to buy.

Valentine made his way into Still Edward’s team in Charleroi, playing over 17 games at the just concluded 2021/22 season, the highest number of games he has played in his professional career.

His performance at Charleroi has attracted interests from several other European clubs

Sochaux FC missed out on promotion to the Ligue 1 after losing to Auxerre, who will be playing top division football next season.

On the 25th of August 1935, Sochaux set the record of the biggest win in a Ligue 1 game. Defeating Valenciennes 12-1. They won the league that year.

The Nsukka born defender has made three international appearances for the Super Eagles of Nigeria. He was recently called up for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers against Sierra Leone and São Tomé and Príncipe but later dropped from the final list of players.
