Super Falcons defeated Burundi 4-0 in the last match of the group stages at the Stade Moulay Hassan in Morroco.
The win ensured Nigeria’s qualification into the quarter finals after securing 6 points to come second in the group behind South Africa.
Two goals from Uchenna Kanu and an awesome performance from fellow CAF Player of the Year nominee Rasheedat Ajibade secured Nigeria the victory.

Athletico Madrid forward, Rasheedat ajibade won a penalty in the quarter of the game, and converted it excellently to give Nigeria a much deseeved lead after a dominant display.
Efih got on the scoresheet just two minutes after the first goal. She was the first to react to a Burundi’s poor clearance of Ajibade’s cross.
Uchenna Kanu made it 3-nil in just 5 minutes after tucking in a ground cross from Rasheedat Ajibade into an empty net.
Kanu got her second goal and Nigeria’s fourth at the start of the second half after heading in a well weighted cross from Ajibade.
Rasheedat Ajibade was involved in all goals as Nigeria sunk Burundi.
Super Falcons center back, Osinachi Ohale won the Woman of the Match award. She partnered captain, Onome Ebi to secure back to back clean sheet for the team and her long balls were very instrumental to the chances creation of the Super Falcons.
Nigeria finishes the group in second position and will now face group B second place team and rival Cameroon in the quarter finals on July 14 with the winner of the match automatically qualifying for the World Cup.
