Asisat Oshoala is the only Super Falcons player to make the ten player shortlist for the Player of the Year (Women).

The 10-woman shortlist includes four South Africans, two Ghanaians and one player each from Nigeria, Cameroon, Morocco, and Zambia pruning out 20 Players in the initial shortlist including Nigeria’s Francisca Ordega, Rasheedat Ajibade, and Uchenna Kanu.

Oshoala won last Spanish league campaign Pichichi award (top scorer), the Spanish League, Spanish Cup, and got to the final of the UEFA Women’s Champions League.

Coach of the Year

Super Falcons Randy Waldrum has also been nominated for the coach of the year after impressive recovery from the loss to South Africa in the first stage of the group stages.
