Indomitable Lioness coach, Zabo Gabriel says that his team were on the same level with the Super Falcons of Nigeria and were only edged by the defending champions experience.

Zabo told CAF Online that his team matched Nigeria’s ability but lost on fine details, “the game was won on fine details. They were not stronger than us, but they used the experience they have in the big competitions. And in this game, when it comes to utilizing their experience, they are unbeatable.”

The Indomitable Lioness will now face Botswana on Sunday in a bid to snatch the last ticket for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Zabo said his team are now focused on the qualification match and will put in all efforts to win the game.

“It’s not all over, we still have a chance to qualify for the World Cup this Sunday. My players showed by their level of play tonight that they were happy to be globalists,” Zabo told CAF Online.
