Rasheedat Ajibade has reiterated on Super Falcons ambition to win the WAFCON title again for a tenth time.
Ajibade was named Woman of the Match in Super Falcons win against Cameroon on Thursday’s night.
Speaking at the post-match conference, Ajibade honoured her team members for the award “I dedicate this trophy to my entire team. These girls are just fantastic. Without them, I will not be here before you with this reward.”
Inspite of recent criticism from press and fans of Nigerian football after the loss to South Africa, the Super Falcons have bounced back from this setback and aiming for their la decima.
“Nigeria could not afford to be absent for this meeting. There’s a new generation of Super Falcons, who arrive hungry and deserve for the world to see their talent. We know what we came here for, we want to leave with the cup, our decima,” Ajibade told CAF Online.
Ajibade is currently the joint top scorer in the tournament with 3 goals and 2 assists from the Athletico Madrid forward.
Super Falcons will battle it out with host Morocco next Monday in Rabat’s Moulay Abdellah cauldron for a place in the final.
