Former Super Eagles winger, Victor Moses scored a late goal for Spartak Moscow to secure a draw in the first match of the 22/23 season.

The former Chelsea star was introduced into the game in the 78th minute and was able bagged the equalizer after just 5minutes on the pitch for the Russian Cup holders.

Artem Timofeev opened scoring for the home team Akhmat Grozny in the last minute of first half stoppage time.

The goal changed the dynamic of the game as both teams went into the locker room after the first 45 minutes.

Spartak Moscow struggled to find their rhythm until the ex-international was brought in to ensure that the Moscow side bounced back.

Victor moses goal was enough to earn a vital point away from home in the first match of the new season.

Despite beating Dynamo Moscow in last season’s Russian Cup final, Spartak Moscow and Victor Moses will not be in the UEFA competition this season due to FIFA and UEFA ban on Russia and Russian clubs.
