The Atlas Lionesses of Morocco will take on the Super Falcons of Nigeria in the much anticipated semi-final encounter tonight in Moulay Abdallah Stadium, Rabat, Morocco.
Both teams are heading into the game with a good defensive setup having only conceded twice in the tournament so far.
Morocco are still on a winning streak, scoring seven, conceding only two in the four games played.
However, the Super Falcons had to bounce back from a 2-1 defeat to South Africa in their opening game to start their own winning streak, defeating rivals Cameroon in their quarter-final match 1-0.
The Moroccans have been very dangerous at set-pieces so far in this tournament, scoring three from the penalty and four from freekick. Nigeria will have to count on their defensive resilience to stop this prime North African attack.
Captain Ghizlane Chebbak of Morocco leads the way in execution of set-pieces including two penalties.
Chebbak is also the tournament leading goal scorer with three goals so far alongside Nigeria’s blue-hair girl Rasheedat Ajibade who has taken over scoring duties.

Nine times champions are without their main star and four-time record African Player of the Year Asisat Oshoala who suffered an injury in their opener against South Africa.
However, Rasheedat Ajibade have famously linked up well with Onomonu and Uchenna Kanu to ensure Nigeria’s progression. The Athletico Madrid striker has the highest goal involvement in the tournament so far, scoring 3 goals and providing 2 assists.
This tournament is Morocco best performance in their history having made two appearances before now and never progressed to the semifinal. Meanwhile, the Super Falcons are nine-time champions and they are playing in their 12 WAFCON tournament.
The match will be played by 9pm WAT.
