Super Falcons will face host nation Morocco by 9pm WAT for a slot in this year WAFCON.

Nigeria has always appeared in the semi-final of this competition and will be playing their 12th edition against young and vibrant Morocco in front of over 50,000 Moroccans.

Sonia Ngozi Okobi-Okeoghene, 28, will be hoping to play in her fifth final. Speaking to the CAF Online, the Sweden based midfielder referred to the Super Falcons record of winning host nations even in important fixtures.

“We have played against teams playing at home and we know how to manage games like this. We do not care about how many people are in the stadium. We shall come into this game with the sole purpose of winning and going to the final.”

Nigeria defeated Cameroon 1-0 in the 2016 final in front of over 42,000 fans inside the Ahmadu Ahidjo Stadium.

Super Falcons of Nigeria will be facing Atlas Lionesses of Morocco by 9pm today (Monday) with the hope of winning their tenth WAFCON title.
