Super Falcons have lost their semi-final game against host nation, Morocco in Rabat on Monday.
In a dramatic encounter, the nine times champions were denied an opportunity to win their tenth WAFCON title as tournament’s host Morocco defeated them 5-4 on penalties.
Nigeria had collected two red cards, finishing the game with eight outfield players and still managed to keep the Atlas Lioness tamed at 1-1 for 120 minutes.
Super Falcons will face Zambia in the third place fixture, while Morocco will face last edition runner-up South Africa in the final with both teams aiming to win their first ever WAFCON title.
