Former Aston Villa star, Gabriel Agbonlahor has questioned Ronaldo’s loyalty to Manchester United.
Speaking to Talk Sport, the former English forward said; “Cristiano Ronaldo would join Liverpool this summer, if he could. They are big rivals of Man United but it’s about Ronaldo.
“He will go anywhere he can still play Champions League football, add to his record and win titles. I don’t think Ronaldo has any loyalty to United, Real Madrid or Juventus.” Gabby said.
The 37-year-old missed United’s pre season tour of Thailand and Australia due to family reasons but this week returned to the UK and was pictured driving into the club’s Carrington training ground to kick start his pre season.
He arrived to training alongside his agent Jorge Mendes, with the pair apparently holding talks with manager Erik ten Hag.
Following the conversation, Ronaldo reiterated that he sees his future away from Old Trafford, and demanded his contract at United be ripped up to allow him to leave as a free agent.
Ronaldo’s transfer request came after United endured a dismal 21/22 campaign which saw them finish sixth in the Premier League.
As a result of their league position, they will be playing in the Europa League instead of the Champions League.
