Chelsea have confirmed they have reached an agreement with Aston Villa for the signing of Carney Chukwemeka for £20million.

The Blues announced that they have signed the English youngster who made 12 appearances for Villa last season.

The 18-year-old was born to Nigerian parents in Austria but is currently playing for the English junior team.

With new owner, Chelsea are trying to strengthen their squad for immediate success with Koulibaly and build for the future with Chukwuemeka and Gaga Slonina.

Chelsea announced the deal on their official online and social platforms, “Aston Villa and Chelsea can confirm that the clubs have reached an agreement for the permanent transfer of Carney Chukwuemeka.

“The 18-year-old has been given permission to travel to London to discuss both personal terms and undergo a medical.”

The NFF will be hoping to convince Chukwuemeka to change his football nationality and represent Nigeria.
