27 boys and girls with their guidance have arrived safely in Heathrow, London to participate in a summer camp in Southampton.

An initiative put together by Sport Edu plus and Team Nigeria UK, supported by English Premier League side, Southampton FC, will cater for the boys and girls during their stay in the UK.

The camp is expected to last for ten days, with the boys and girls being involved in various activities.

David Doherty, who’s the founder of Pathway Sports and President of Team Nigeria UK speaking to OJBSPORT, said ; The Southampton way includes five values: respect, unity, accountability, creativity, and aspiration.

“And it’s these values that we, the organisers of the summer camp believe the kids can learn and develop their talents.”

The kids will commence their training tomorrow at the Southampton academy, and also have the chance to watch the premier league game between Southampton and Leeds United at St Mary’s Stadium this Saturday.

David Doherty has also shown interest in becoming the President of the Nigerian football federation (NFF).

The NFF election is scheduled to take place in September 2022 when the tenure of the current Amaju Pinnick-led board expires.
