Nigerian duo, Tolu Arokodare and Josh Maja were on target for their club-side, Amiens and Bordeaux in the week six fixtures of the Ligue 2 in France.
Josh Maja opened the scoring for Bordeaux from the spot in his team’s big win. After a disappointing show at home to Guingamp three days ago, a very positive minded Bordeaux side responded positively today against Quevily-Rouen.
Bordeaux height advantage was evident from the start, and the hosts took full advantage to pull further ahead. With the visitors going a man down after 15minutes of play, Bordeaux increased the lead to three before the half-hour.
“We showed excitement. Finally, playing again in 3 days is not so bad. Today, we were punished quickly, at 10, it’s necessarily more complicated.” Quevily Rouen coach, Olivier Echouafni said.
Tolu Arokodare, goalscorer in last week’s 1-1 draw against Le Havre, was on target again as Amiens was held to a 1-1 draw at home by Paris FC.
Amiens barely created any scoring opportunities in the game but took the lead in the 59th minutes with their first opportunity in the second half. Six minutes later, Bocha Iglesias quickly equalizes for the visitors.
In another match, Nigerian Valentine Ozornwafor’s team, Sochaux made it three wins in their last three games after losing their second and third game of the season.
