Alex Iwobi was involved in Everton’s only goal against Leeds United on Tuesday night.

Everton has been performing below par since the start of last season.

However, Iwobi appears to stand above the poor team performance and criticism as he has been one of the few positives for the Evertonians.

The Merseyside team continued from their performance last season, when they barely escaped relegation, growing in pressure every game week after losing the lead in two consecutive games.

Iwobi set Gordon up with a beautiful ground through ball to evade three Leeds player, before the young Everton star put the ball beyond Meslier.

Everton couldn’t find their feet after scoring the first goal, soaking up pressure from Leeds domination.

In the 55th minute, New signing Sinisterra rooted Pickford to his spot, scoring an awesome goal in the goalkeeper’s near post to draw Leeds level.

The match continued with Leeds having most of the ball, retaining the possession 70% of the time and also restraining Everton to only 2 shots on target.
